National School Sport Week

26-30 June 2017: National School Sport Week encouraged your pupils to be more active and #celebratePE.
National School Sport Week

National School Sport Week (NSSW) 2017 was a huge celebration of everything that is great about PE and school sport, with all schools invited to take part and #celebratePE.

National School Sport Week started in 2008, and in 2016 saw over 5,000 schools and 1.8 million pupils take part! You can see some of the social media highlights from 2017 on our Storify.

This year, we partnered with Entertainment One and TV superheroes PJ Masks for a special early years aspect to NSSW.

The initiative, entitled Power of 3 to reflect the trio of PJ Masks heroes, aims to encourage young people to be more active and take part in regular physical activity and school sport.

We also worked in partnership with The Football Association against the backdrop of the England Lionesses heading to the UEFA Women’s Euros 2017, to engage teachers, schools and girls through European Championship 2017 resources.

National School Sport Week will return in 2018, keep an eye here for dates once they are confirmed!
