SGO National Summit

The SGO National Summit 2017 will take place on Tuesday 14 November at The International Centre, Telford, delivered by the Youth Sport Trust and supported by Sport England, through National Lottery investment.

The summit also welcomes a keynote from Ben Smith. Ben is the man behind the behind the 401 Challenge and anti-bullying campaign supported by his new 401 Foundation. Ben will bring to life his mantra ‘find your happiness through sport!’ and personally demonstrate the power of sport to change lives.

The summit theme is, 'More Than Sport' and will look to explore the full power of sport and how though a refreshed understanding of young people of today we can motivate and engage new audience to place competitive sport and physical activity at the heart of their lives.

Through various topical keynotes, workshops and structured networking, the event will see all 450 School Games Organisers, County Sport Partnerships and a range of National Governing Bodies from across the country come together to share best practice, celebrate achievements and stretch thinking.

In the heart of the day we will have the School Games National Summit awards. An opportunity to share the achievements and innovation of the network as well as celebrate the difference this works makes to the lives of young people across the country.

All delegate places for SGOs will be paid for and the event forms the first formal termly engagement of the network in the 2016/17 academic year (Spring and Summer term engagements will be at regional and local level).
