Kimberly Wyatt, Youth Sport Trust Ambassador

The Youth Sport Trust is working with Kimberly on her Well-Fit initiative, which is aimed at primary school aged girls and boys and uses dance to increase physical activity levels, self esteem and boost confidence among young people. The target audience is primary children aged six to eight years old.

Five schools have taken part in pilot activity, which is helping to shape the Well-Fit primary school initiative. The Youth Sport Trust will develop this and deliver it to schools.

More information on the initiative will be available from 2017.

Kimberly said:

“The aim of Well-Fit is to use dance to get more young people physically active and the way we can do this is by providing something easy for teachers to use. Dance isn’t scary, it doesn’t need to be complicated, you just need a few core moves and you’re set.”
